The Rainforest

The Rainforest – Forest of Tranquility

Sydney’s best surviving rainforest

There’s so much more to Forest of Tranquility – Australian Rainforest Sanctuary than first meets the eye.

Cathy and Ed Manners opened the park to the public in 1985. They view it as a work of art, using the natural shapes and colours of the rainforest as the canvas for a wide variety of ever changing views and vistas. You’ll do well to find a more beautiful setting for a picnic or barbecue.

But the park also offers a unique chance to experience and learn about the life and times in an authentic Australian rainforest.

The park is home to almost 200 species of rainforest flora and sanctuary to more than 126 species of native birds.

And there’s so much more to know…
